Ethan Powell, CFA, CPA, is the Principal and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Brookmont Capital. Brookmont was founded in 2007 as a lift-out of the most successful equity strategy of a bank trust department. Ethan became a 50% owner in 2018. With over two decades of experience in financial services, Ethan has primarily focused on hedge funds and private equity. In 2015, he also founded Impact Shares, a nonprofit affiliate asset manager that collaborates with leading financial service and non-profit organizations to provide single social issue ESG solutions. Ethan serves as the Chairman of the board for a $4 billion mutual fund complex and has been recognized as a finalist for Mutual Fund Director of the Year. He holds an MS in Management Information Systems and a BS in Accounting from Texas A&M University.

Ethan's investment philosophy emphasizes patience and concentration, typically holding securities for three to five years and maintaining a portfolio of 30-40 names. This approach has allowed him to consistently derive alpha and provide thoughtful, differentiated market exposure for his clients.
